District to Develop New Strategic Plan in Next Few Months

The Pendleton School District and School Board are currently working on the future direction of the district by developing an updated Strategic Plan. The district hired a consulting firm to guide the process and established teams of administrators, board members, teachers, parents, students and community members to develop initial goals and key areas of emphasis.

The next step in the Strategic Plan process is to elicit input from other stakeholders, including additional district staff, parents, students and community members. The district will have a Strategic Plan Community Input Session on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 PM at the Pendleton Early Learning Center. The public is encouraged to attend to provide feedback on the draft plan.

“Over the next couple of months, we are working to map out the long-term priorities and goals for the district. We welcome input and comments from a variety of community members -- tell us where you want to see our efforts emphasized in the coming years,” said Andy Kovach, district superintendent.

For those who cannot attend the March 7 session, there will be an opportunity through the district website to provide input and comments.
