For an opportunity to see some of Pendleton High School's finest thespians, head to the Regional Acting Showcase Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m., in the school's auditorium.

The cost is $6 per person and the money helps defray expenses for the Northwest Regional Acting Competition, which students will attend Saturday, Feb. 6 at Milwaukie High School.

"It will include songs, pantomimes, monologues and scenes," said drama instructor John Remington.

Among the performers will be Deven Jennings, who walked away with a national championship in solo musical theater last summer in Lincoln, Neb., and Alexi Leonard, who qualified for the nationals after garnering a high score in duo dramatic during last spring's Oregon State Thespian Conference in Eugene.

Other students participating include Cody Cant, Shane Robbins, Amy Jane Brandhagen, Donovan Johnson, Aleshia Porter, Destiny Post, Kyanne Hickey, Ryan Townsend, Charles Rogers, Jessica Harwood, Fatima Machado, Cortley Williams, Boots Pond, Payton Odman, Amy Neal, Jessica Arbogast and eight pantomime artists yet to be named.
