Pendleton Staff in the Spotlight - December 2016

The district is pleased to annnounce the December 2016 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools will honor a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

PELC Storm Webb always has a smile, positive disposition and a kind word for everyone around her. She is great at doing her job and is always a team player with a great attitude and always helpful.
McKay Leigh Larsen is being acknowledged for always approaching students with kindness and a smile, helping in all areas of the school and for being a fun staff member who keeps our school upbeat and positive.
Sherwood Sally Ladd has works tirelessly to help struggling students. She has been a tremendous help to new teachers finding resources. Sally is a team player who works very hard to serve all of our students and goes above and beyond every day.
Washington Katie Stern always has a positive attitude and it is contagious! No matter what the situation or who is involved, she finds the most fair and positive approach to resolve the issue.
Sunridge Middle School Deena Nelson is being honored for being a positive influence on her students. She sees the potential in each pne and tries to bring out their best. She gives extra help for students to become better readers and is a good collaborator.
Pendleton High School Anita Lewis is the smiley face in the office, and is recognized for her hard work and dedication to our athletics and their success. She goes beyond the norm to assist students, staff and the PHS community. She keeps coaches on task always.
Nixya'awii Fred Hill is recognized for leading the “Golden Eagle” challenge in which a number of students carried out an ancient native tradition of jumping into the river at first snow. He is continually helping students participate in traditional after-school activities.
Hawthorne High School Teresa Bermel goes above and beyond for our students – cares for them, supports them and works to help them be successful. She is a great person to work with, and her unending drive to help students is wonderful. Teresa is kind and caring and goes out of her way to make school a great place for all kids.
  Homestead Tina Williams goes that extra mile to help kids prepare for GED testing. She helps facilitate fun and unique art projects for our students.
