Pendleton Staff in the Spotlight - February 2016

Here are the district employees chosen for the February 2016 Staff in the Spotlight. Every month, the staff at each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Congratulations to these wonderful educators!

Lincoln Linda Mott for being an organized part of our school. She is always positive and supportive of all children. She goes above and beyond to help students succeed.

 

McKay Katie Gillem for her connections with kids and parents. She is working hard at learning a new job and doing a wonderful job at being a first-year Special Education Teacher. She is very courteous and calm with parents, students and staff.

 

Sherwood Melissa Monkman for her dedication to students and their families and always putting their needs first. She organizes fantastic family night activities, most recently STEM night. This includes making posters, creating fun activities, organizing and recruiting help.  She also supports students and staff with testing data for measuring student progress.
Washington Kathy Gregory for having a positive attitude and setting high standards for students while going out of her way to try new approaches to ensure success. She is always putting the needs of kids first and she is doing amazing things with students.

 

West Hills Pamela Parr Worden for her willingness to jump in and help anytime she is needed and her dedication to serving the students and staff at West Hills. She is always willing to go the extra mile for all of us.

 

PELC Jenny Corey for her positive attitude and willingness to always listen and give ideas and create reading lessons for Promethean. She made flip charts for each Journeys lesson and shared them with all staff, which helped implement the program.
Sunridge

Erin Donnelly for exceptional dedication to teaching. Observing her extended P.E. class and what she has done with and for these students is incredible! She is a positive part of our staff and we are lucky to have her.

 

PHS Kathryn Youngman for her dedication to her students and always staying positive when she is feeling ill. She continues to teach at a high level and motivate her students even though she is faced with recurring health issues. She is an inspiration to all.
Hawthorne Teri McCoy for working very hard to ensure the students are on track with their Odyssey Ware. Her continuing involvement in their progress has helped many of our students achieve their high school diplomas. She truly cares for the students and works hard for and with them. She supports them, yet holds them accountable for their choices.
  Homestead Emily Williams for using innovative teaching techniques. She goes above and beyond working with potential graduates on work samples and preparing GED candidates for their tests. She is always patient and kind.

 

 

Nixya’awii Nichole Bowden for going above and beyond each day and making a huge difference in each student’s life.
