Pendleton Staff in the Spotlight - January 2016

The district is pleased to annnounce the January 2016 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools will honor a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

Lincoln Sally Ladd for working extra hard with lower reading students to help them make progress, which they are, and for being so patient.

 

McKay Teresa Christensen for always being so patient and kind to all of her students and providing a classroom that every child is lucky to be a part of: warm, engaging, and full of learning. In addition, she is a great role model and positive encourager for other staff.

 

Sherwood Karen Brown for her outstanding skill in teaching reading to those who experience challenges and for stepping up to assist all teachers when her colleague was out on maternity leave.
Washington Michelle Herburger for being a caring, thoughtful, dedicated teacher. She gives up her personal time to help staff and students.

 

West Hills Maureen McLaughlin for having a positive attitude & offering help, support and encouragement.

 

PELC Leah Rogers for thinking outside the box, being flexible and putting student needs first.

 

Sunridge Peni Waite for patience, respect and care of students with disabilities. She really values the individual.

 

PHS Pam Colwell for her dedication. She takes care of the entire high school during the school day and never complains. She has to clean up numerous spills throughout the day.
Hawthorne Megan Patton for having the kindest heart when it comes to kids at the Alternative School. She advocates for everything from home and healthcare to clothing donations for students. Megan is a very valued member at our school.
  Homestead Tina Williams for helping new staff learn the ropes and always helping the boys with “all things” math and being a great art teacher. (No photo available.)

 

Nixya’awii Jewell Kennedy for working with students to specifically meet their different learning levels, going above & beyond.
