Pendleton Staff in the Spotlight - October 2016

The district is pleased to annnounce the October 2016 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools will honor a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

PELC Lori Hale for always being willing to lend a helping hand. She is always putting our kids first.
McKay Holly Whitten for her effort in providing every 1st grader with a great education, having a positive classroom environment and being a supportive team member!
Sherwood Angela Johnston for organizing staff schedules, taking on kids who are having a tough day and planning resources for kids who need extra help, all while doing other jobs simultaneously. She goes above and beyond to make things flow smoothly at Sherwood.
Washington Aimee House for going the extra mile for staff and students. Her compassion for struggling students is amazing. She is patient and kind.
Sunridge Jessica Sou for all her efforts to help kids. She decorates our school to make it a happier place and sets up groups to help kids in need.
PHS Kristin Swaggart for making her students a priority and her culinary program the best it can be. She goes beyond her teaching assignment for her students. Also for her awesome efforts to secure a food truck for the school.
Nixya'awii Michelle VanPelt for always helping outside of school hours with activities for homecoming and helping students with college applications and admissions. Also, for her energizing school spirit.
Hawthorne Megan Patton for always being positive, having nice things to say to staff and students and her tireless effort to serve her students on IEPs. She gives of herself- time, energy, resources- without reserve to her students to help them succeed.
  Homestead Travis Zander for enthusiastically taking our boys out into the community on a daily basis to do community service and physical education. He keeps students on graduation track and helps them                    succeed.
