PHS Music Students Earn All-State Honors

Three Pendleton High School music students were recently selected for the 2018 Oregon Music Education Association All-State Choir. Cassidy Welch, Kaci Graber and Abel Galvan were selected following a rigorous and competitive audition and selection process. The students will be in Eugene January 11 - 14 to rehearse and perform with other outstanding young Oregon musicians under the direction of Amanda Quist for soprano/alto choir (Westminster Choir College) and Joshua Habermann for tenor/bass choir (Santa Fe Desert Chorale, University of North Texas.

The choir will perform in the Hult Center in a gala concert on Sunday, January 14.

“Selection for these ensembles is a significant honor, and Pendleton High School is proud to be well represented by these three gifted young musicians,” said Emily Muller Callender, PHS music instructor.
