The end of the 2017-2018 school year has arrived, and that means celebrating the ongoing success of our students and the achievements they are making on a daily basis. Congratulations to our Pendleton High School Class of 2018 graduates! This class of 172 seniors celebrated their graduation on June 2, four of whom did so in Corvallis after capturing our third state championship in softball. To date, the Class of 2018 has been awarded in excess of $2 million in scholarship and grants to further their educations.

Our graduation rate for Pendleton High School and the district overall has continued to outpace the rest of the state. Pendleton students have the opportunity to earn 125 college credits while in high school and continue to utilize the “Dual Credit” program as well as “Eastern Promise”. For the 2017-2018 school year, OSAA and Carl’s Jr. recognized nine of our athletic teams for their academic achievements. PSD students are also earning honors regularly for their outstanding musical, artistic, athletic and volunteer efforts as well! This year, our Rhythmic Mode Dance team returned to state dominance with their eighth state championship.

These student successes are happening in Pendleton due to the dedication of our outstanding certified teachers, classified staff and school leaders.

We in the Pendleton School District are appreciative of the partnership with our community and the support that our students receive from their parents and community members. From November 2017 through early April 2018, schools and staff in the district received 45 grants and donations totaling $55,062 toward a variety of student enrichment activities. Thank you for your ongoing support of our schools and the great work we can do together serving “each child” to reach their educational goals.

We wish all our students and staff a safe, wonderful summer!
