November 2020 Staff in the Spotlight

The district is pleased to announce the November 2020 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

PELC Randy Jenness – for working to create fun, virtual P.E. lessons.  He has gone above and beyond to work with staff to support their efforts with distance learning by providing awesome online PE activities.
McKay Wendy Phillips – for diving into CDL and making her classroom engaging, motivating, and a great learning environment for all of her students.  Wendy is definitely making the best of this challenging experience.
Sherwood Diana Ellis – is being recognized for being so positive with staff and families.  She encourages every child to do their best, and honors and recognizes every student for their strength.  She is a great resource to other teachers and assistants in the building.  We are so lucky to have her on our staff.
Washington Melodi Krol – is being recognized for her constant support of teachers and colleagues.  She steps up for any challenge, goes above and beyond each and every day, and always shares a smile.  We are so fortunate to have Melodi on our Wildcat Team!
Sunridge Bethany VanCleave – for being an amazing asset to SMS!  The relationships she is building with students in the classroom are amazing, and she continues to meet them at their level during BRONC Pride time!
PHS Sarah Gaulke – for being knowledgeable in Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Synergy and for being willing and patient to teach others.  She continually goes above and beyond her duties to help everyone with anything they need.  She is always willing to give her time and help others.  It is really appreciated at PHS.
Hawthorne/ Homestead Teri McCoy  – for the work she does each day.  She can usually be found calling students and encouraging their attendance, checking students into day camps with daily health screeners, ordering, picking up, or delivering student lunches, and helping staff with attendance and progress reports.  In addition there are a myriad of other tasks she performs each day.
District Office/Maintenance Jodi Mascall – for the hard work and energy she has put in over the last several months renewing ODE applications, monitoring services, and jumping through the many hoops to add a new program to better serve our students and families.
