Staff in the Spotlight - December 2017

The district is pleased to announce the December 2017 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools will honor a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

Wendy Phillips McKay Wendy Phillips is an amazing teacher. She is always kind and caring to all of her students. In addition, Wendy makes sure all staff (assistants, other teachers, custodians EVERYONE) feel like they are an important part of the McKay Family.
Laurie Hummel Sherwood Laurie Hummel is dedicated and caring. She sees the good in all students; working hard to see every child achieve success.
Amiee House Washington Amiee House is always so willing to help out anywhere needed and is honored for doing a great job with the kiddos.
Melissa Monkman PELC Melissa Monkman is always going above and beyond in finding ways to support students and staff, answering radio calls when others are busy and being willing to help in any way possible.
Ken Jacobs Sunridge Ken Jacobs does a great job connecting with students and providing amazing opportunities for them in his shop classes. He is honored for being a rock star!
Jackie Brown PHS/Hawthorne Jackie Brown is celebrated for spending so much extra time and effort getting to know her new students and building a relationship with the staff. She goes above and beyond.
Tina Williams Homestead Tina Williams is honored because she is always ready to individualize instruction to meet the diverse needs in her math classes.
Michelle VanPelt Nixyaawii Michelle VanPelt is recognized for planning and organizing a holiday dinner for all students.
