Staff in the Spotlight - January 2018

The district is pleased to announce the January 2018 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

Jesse Lantz McKay Jesse Lantz is recognized for stepping right into the McKay family and for showing kindness to the kids and being very helpful to staff.
Lynette Minthorn Sherwood Lynette Minthorn is honored for always making time for the kids. She makes each kid feel worthy and special, greeting each student with a smile and calling them by name. Lynette truly cares about each and every student.
Shelly McAlary Washington Shelly McAlary is celebrated for her loving patience and support of students, plus her positive attitude and willingness to learn more.
Rhonda Daggett PELC Rhonda Daggett is recognized for always being positive and upbeat with students and doing so much to support the office. Our parents and families love Mrs. Daggett!
Lori Marshall Sunridge Lori Marshall is honored for always greeting kids with a smile and handling our toughest students with GRACE! She helps reinforce positive behaviors with students and patiently works with them until they start showing success.
Jess Cooper PHS/Hawthorne Jess Cooper is honored this month for spending countless hours supporting his students in their pursuit of knowledge. He comes early, leaves late, schedules make-up and retakes, yet also holds students accountable for their learning.
Jackie Brown Homestead Jackie Brown is celebrated for her great job of integrating into the culture and climate of Homestead. She makes an effort to get to know the kids and keep staff informed of student needs.
Chelsea Hallam Nixyaawii Chelsea Hallam is honored in January for spearheading Nixya'awii’s new National Honor Society and for her willingness to go the extra mile for ANY student.
