Staff in the Spotlight - March 2018

The district is pleased to announce the March 2018 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

Donna Key McKay Donna Key is very friendly and cheerful, waving at all the cars and families while on crosswalk duty. She is easy to work with, flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to make things best for students. We love Ms. Key!
Kristen Simpson Sherwood Kristen Simpson works extra hard to meet the needs of her students in the way that works best for each of them. She is always friendly and positive and a great addition to our staff!
Katie Gillem Washington Katie Gillem is always willing to help when she can. She goes above and beyond to build relationships with students and ensure they succeed. Katie is celebrated for being an amazing team player!
Storm Webb PELC Storm Webb is always willing to help where needed and is very kind and patient with students. Storm is extremely positive and upbeat, every single day!
Emily Oja Sunridge Emily Oja is honored for going above and beyond with students to make sure they get not only the best academic education, but also life skills as well.
Sherry Hubbard PHS/Hawthorne Sherry Hubbard is celebrated this month for her enthusiasm for helping kids by building relationships and for her willingness to work where she is needed.
Kim Richards Homestead Kim Richards engages her students in a variety of ways, keeping them always interested in science. She works with students to recoup credits from previous semesters and diligently grades and monitors all independent math credit work for thems. Kim is extremely compassionate about the well being of our students, does an excellent job of de-escalating difficult situations and getting students back on track.
Seanne Perkins Nixya'awii Seanne Perkins is honored this month for taking on Prom leadership and reminding all students they matter.
Melody Rosenberg District Office/
Melody Rosenberg meticulously reports all of our student data to the State and Federal education offices. Reporting requirements grow each and every year, and Melody rises to each challenge to learn the new student-level collections. She takes her job very seriously and works to make sure all submissions are both timely and accurate.
