May 2018 Staff in the Spotlight

The district is pleased to announce the May 2018 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

McKay Cathy Walters is honored for her work with improving students’ organization and academic skills. Cathy is a professional who is organized, sets up systems in her room and follows through on everything she does. Our fifth graders are lucky — she’s a GREAT teacher!
Sherwood Kayla Frazier is celebrated for always going above and beyond the call of duty. She always has a positive attitude and fabulous smile. Kayla  is super organized, not afraid to take on any challenge. We are so thankful to have her at Sherwood.
Washington Nora Rivera is recognized for her positive attitude and hard work. She supports the entire Washington Community with a kind heart & professional attitude. She always greets staff, students and visitors with a smile. We are lucky to have her!
PELC Lori Hale is being recognized for leading with patience, compassion and a delightful sense of humor. She sees and inspires the good in all of us.
Sunridge Jodie Harnden is honored this month for continually covering for teachers during her prep period – she is always willing to help out!
PHS/Hawthorne Pam Coldwell is celebrated for always working tirelessly to keep our school so clean and for her willingness to help anywhere she is needed.
Homestead Tina Williams is recognized for the hard work she does to keep kids motivated and earning math credit during the spring months when motivation often dwindles. She kept kids focused during SBAC testing.
Nixya’awii Seanne Perkins is celebrated for all her hard work planning the prom for NCS. Seanne also went above and beyond to gather extra dresses for many different girls to ensure everyone had the chance to attend.
