District Safety Procedures

Student and staff safety and school security are the highest priority for the Pendleton School District. If students do not feel safe at school, their learning can be adversely impacted.

The district has adopted the Standard Response Protocol method.

Please review the SRP Parent Handout. This can assist parents in the event of an emergency at one of our school buildings. More information about the Standard Response Protocol is available on the iloveuguys website.

If an incident occurs, the district will communicate using these methods:

  1. District Website
  2. School Website
  3. District Facebook Page
  4. Local Media Outlets (East Oregonian, KUMA, KWHT)
  5. School Messenger recorded message (usually after the incident has ended)

Please note that due to safety concerns, students and staff may be asked by law enforcement to turn off cell phones during an emergency and staff may not be able to answer the school office phone during that time.

If an incident occurs and students and staff must evacuate, they will be reunited with parents through the Standard Reunification Method.

Please review the SRM Parent Handout. This can assist parents during a Reunification event. More information about the Standard Reunification Method is available on the iloveuguys website.
