April 2021 Staff in the Spotlight

The district is pleased to announce the April 2021 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

PELC Rhonda Daggett – for always being cheerful and upbeat.  She is considerate of others.  Our students and staff love the positive connections they share with Rhonda.  She is such a valued member of the PELC family.
McKay Kristy Preston – for her great energy and being willing to help wherever and whenever needed.  She is also reliable and dependable.  We are fortunate to have her on our team.
Sherwood Taylor Wilson – As the Behavior Support Specialist at Sherwood, she works well with families, students, and staff.  She is a tech guru, and an amazing videographer helping to create training videos for students and families.  She is such a strong support for systems in our building, as well as helping us to tighten carline procedures.  We are blessed to have this hotrod in our building!
Washington Jaime Larsen – Jaime Larsen is a true team player.  She is flexible, supportive, willing to take on any task, and has been a huge addition to our team.
Sunridge Johanna Geesey – She is great to have as part of our team.  She helps students find their classes, and she has the ability to maintain calm and seek assistance for a triggered student.  Thank you for helping a student at a moment of significant need.  Johanna is an amazing hall monitor.  Kudos to her for handling a TOUGH student situation this week.  Her heart is always in the right place and it shows.
PHS James McDonough – for always being helpful with whatever is needed.  He is great to work with, has a positive attitude, and he helps keep PHS in top shape.  We appreciate his diligence, professionalism, and hard work.
Hawthorne/ Homestead Jackie Brown – for her diligence in managing an ever-growing caseload during a difficult distance learning school year.  Jackie runs her meetings with care and concern and always has a positive attitude.  We appreciate her!
District Office Ronda Thornburg – Ronda works tirelessly to support and promote Pendleton School District.  Ronda’s dedication to the staff, students, and parents shines through every day.  She keeps us all organized, on track, and on time.  She juggles the competing demands with a smile and listening ear.  We appreciate all she does for us and the district.
