November 2018 Staff in the Spotlight

The district is pleased to announce the November 2018 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

PELC Leah Rogers is always flexible and willing to help with any student. She makes frequent changes to her schedule to support our students and does so with a smile and open heart. Leah does an amazing job with our students and has a positive attitude!
McKay Patti Thorne is always positive and caring. She puts in extra effort in organizing support groups and checking on kids who have extra needs. Patti is amazing at keeping calm and staying positive and is always there when you need her. Her dedication to our school family and staff is what makes McKay even more unique and a valuable place to learn and grow.
Sherwood Lisa Lake is recognized for her dedication to meeting every person fresh, every day with a positive attitude. She is on the move every minute of every day and works tirelessly to meet every child’s needs. Lisa is the definition of EVERY student, EVERY day and is a shining star at Sherwood!
Washington Maria Davis is honored for putting her heart, soul, time and energy into meeting the needs of children every day. She is always kind, professional and proactive in supporting students and staff. Maria is well-rounded with her intellect, work ethic, people skills, empathy and experience, and we are fortunate to have her on our team.
Sunridge Katie Bodewig is very dedicated to her students – always helping them when they need it. In addition, she is always willing and able to assist her colleagues with any prep and technical assistance they need at a moment’s notice! Thank you, Katie.
PHS Pam Colwell is recognized for being such a kind, caring, positive person who does a fantastic job of keeping our building looking great! She is always willing to go above and beyond to help our students and staff. Pam is a great addition to our staff and school!
Hawthorne/ Homestead Tina Williams spends lots of extra one-on-one time with students to help individuals learn concepts. She does a great job of differentiating her instruction for each student and often spends Activity Time on Fridays helping individual students work through assignments.
Nixya’awii Zack Brandsen is being celebrated for all the after-hours work he puts in with juniors and seniors for college trips, government events and the CommuniCare project. We appreciate you, Zack!

Bryan Franklin is a great addition to the PSD Maintenance team. He comes to work with a positive attitude and a smile on his face and is always willing to help where help is needed.
