September 2018 Staff in the Spotlight

The district is pleased to announce the September 2018 Staff in the Spotlight recipients. Every month, each of our schools honors a staff member at their building for going above and beyond their regular duties or for doing something special. Join us in celebrating these outstanding employees!

McKay Betty Townsend works diligently to meet the needs of all who enter McKay. She has gone above and beyond to become a trainer for our Conscious Discipline team and is always willing to lend a hand or give extra time to a teacher or administrator. Betty is selfless and a very knowledgeable leader for McKay and the Pendleton School District.

Barbara Fleming & Micki Zander are positive and flexible in helping staff, students, families and the new principal since the beginning of the school year. They are a top-notch team of professional, hardworking and dedicated front desk staff who run the show at Sherwood. They ROCK!

Nora Rivera & Kerri Swenson have spent countless hours ensuring a successful start to our school year. They warmly greet returning families & welcome new students and families to our school and community. Nora and Kerri work behind the scenes preparing and organizing supplies, files and pertinent documents to support all staff. They have been key communicators with  families regarding school and transportation information, always willing to give a helping hand and go the extra mile with a smile. They truly make the world go ‘round at Washington Elementary School.

PELC Lori Curtis works tirelessly to get us ready for day one of the school year and beyond. Patience, smiles, a calm style and a wonderful skill of keeping the office running smoothly make Lori a great asset at the PELC!
