Michelle Macy, 2nd Grade Teacher at Washington Elementary School

Michelle grew up in Portland and moved to Pendleton this past summer. At Portland State University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and her master’s degree in education. She most recently was a long-term substitute teacher in the Gresham-Barlow School District.

Since fall has begun, Michelle said, “I am enjoying cooking new soup recipes which make me feel cozy.”

As for joining the Pendleton School District, she said, “I’m excited to meet all of the students in the community and learn about their interests!”
