Congratulations On Your Retirement – Pam Worden
Please help us celebrate and pay tribute to our retirees from the Pendleton School District.
Today, we congratulate Pam Worden, Fiscal Assistant at the District Office. Pam has worked in the district for 20ish years. When asked what she will miss the most, Pam thought it would be the students. She loved following their endeavors even after they were not where she was. However, Pam has also made some great friendships with the people she worked with.
Pam credits many people who helped her throughout her career, wishing she could name them all. A couple that really stands out is Dea Gray, a retired secretary at Hawthorne, where her kids attended school. She was so kind and treated everyone as if they were the most important person in the world. The other is Tom Lovell, who taught at Sunridge, where Pam started. The first day she walked in, Tom introduced himself and asked how he could help. Pam tried to duplicate those important lessons since they made such an impression on her. Pam is thankful for all who believed in her every step of the way, even when she didn’t believe in herself. Lastly, she cannot leave out Tim Gilbert, who tried very patiently to help her with excel.
Pam’s words of wisdom: “Help out even when it isn’t ‘your job.’ Be a team player. Teamwork makes the dream work. Be a reflection of the institution you work for. Dress for success.”
Thank you, Pam, for your commitment to the students of Pendleton School District. We wish you well on your next adventure.
