Effective Immediately – March 12, 2020
A message from Superintendent Fritsch
Effective immediately, the Pendleton School District will be operating under the following plan in response to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak. The intent of this plan is to prevent the community spread of the virus while keeping students in school. This plan is the result of the directive from Governor Kate Brown during a 9 am press conference this morning. The District has also consulted with the Umatilla County Health Department, IMESD leadership and has reviewed similar plans of other school districts.
As you are aware by now, this situation is fluid and our response plan could change at any time in the future. In the event our plan, as stated, does change, we will update all stakeholders immediately.
It is important to remember that this plan is supported and recommended by the Oregon Health Authority and our local health department.
