Carissa Smith, Special Education, Pendleton High School

Carissa grew up in Georgia on a 230-acre farm. She moved to Pendleton in June.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Georgia College & State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree from Middle Georgia State University.

About working in the Pendleton School District, Carissa said, “I am excited to be part of such a supportive group of professionals. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging. I look forward to seeing what the future holds as a Buck!”

In her free time, Carissa enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
