Well-Child Clinics:
This Friday, December 10th, the School Based Health Center(SBHC) staff will conduct another well child clinic at the PELC for families that live within the boundaries of the Pendleton School District. A couple of things to remember regarding the School Base Health Centers(SBHC):
Recently a COVID vaccine was approved for children ages 5-11. Like all vaccines, these are available through the school based health centers. It is important for parents to know that for children under the age of 14, parents must give their permission prior to their students receiving any medical services through the SBHC or any other medical provider. Some parents have expressed concern that the Pendleton School District was requiring children to get a COVID vaccine. That is not true; that decision is a family decision.
If you have questions about the services offered or would like to make an appointment for your child, contact the school based health center at 541.966.3857 or 541.966.3432. You may also direct questions to my office at 541.276.6711.
Yours in good health,cf

Superintendent

Chris Fritsch,
Superintendente
