Noele Mead, 3rd Grade Teacher at McKay Elementary

Noele grew up in a small town on the southern Oregon Coast, Port Orford, and has lived in Pendleton for 10 years. She earned her Master’s in Education from Grand Canyon University.

Noele was a paraprofessional in the district prior to being hired as a temporary certified teacher last year at McKay. Noele loves to spend time with friends and family and they enjoy boating, hiking and camping. She also enjoys a good run and reading.

As for working permanently at PSD, she said, “I have always felt that PSD has had the best support system. I have worked in several of the schools as a substitute, teaching assistant and classroom teacher, and have always felt like a member of a family rather than a co-worker.”
