Soft Start Plan: (iPad and Supply Distribution)
- Soft Start is a drop-in and will take approximately 15-30 minutes per child
- To maintain social distance guidelines, ONLY ONE ADULT MAY ACCOMPANY ONE CHILD
- Social distancing guidelines and masks will be required (over the age of 5)
- ENTER OUR BUS LOADING ZONE, IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING (main entrance) ON 13TH STREET. YOU WILL BE REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL YOU ARE DIRECTED TO A STATION.
- The teachers will give your child a quick academic assessment and prepare you for the upcoming school year (familiarize you with the iPad, provide you with materials and supplies and answer any questions you may have)
PLEASE DROP IN DURING ONE OF THE FOLLOWING DATES AND TIMES:
- Friday August 28th: 7:45 am – 10:15 am AND 11:30 am – 3:15 pm
- Monday August 31st: 7:45 am- 12:30 pm AND 2:00 pm – 6:15 pm
Teachers will begin calling parents on Wednesday, September 2nd to inform them whether they are AM or PM and which class they are in.

September 1-2 is Soft Start, where students and families will meet with school staff, check-out required technology and books, and receive specific instructions to access online platforms.
- A guardian MUST accompany a child to Soft Start
- Soft Start is a drive-thru or walk-thru where students will meet the staff at a distance
- BRING YOUR BACKPACK or a BAG for Chromebook, instructional materials, school supplies, and specific directions for Distance Learning.
Please select one of the following Soft Start dates/times that works best for you:
- Tuesday, September 1: 7:45 am – 10:30 am & 11:30 – 3:30 pm
- Wednesday, September 2: 7:45 am – 12:30 pm & 2:00 – 6:30 pm
September 3 – 4, students will participate in a teacher-facilitated learning lesson during their assigned session (AM 8-10:30 or PM 12:45 – 3:15). These will be short learning sessions that help establish a strong start for distance learning.
Official online sessions will start on September 8.
If you have a child on an IEP, please expect to hear from their Special Education teacher the week of September 8.

We will have a drive-thru supply pick-up, September 1st – 3rd. The drive-thru pick-up is intended for families to literally drive through the bus lane at Sunridge and pick-up textbooks and supplies from their vehicles. Families can also check out a Chromebook at that time from Sunridge if one is needed.
Our 6th-grade teachers will be handing out supplies to 6th-grade students on September 1st. 7th and 8th-grade parents can drive through on September 2nd or 3rd to pick up supplies.

Pendleton High School will be calling all of our families on August 17 and 18 to update registration information. If you have not heard from us by Tuesday 3:30 pm, call us at 541-966-3804.
Registration information needs to be updated before we can check out supplies.
September 1-4 we will hold Drive Through Supply Check-Out at Pendleton High School:
Sept. 1 – 9th grade – 10am-2:00pm
Sept. 2 – 10th grade – 10am-2:00pm
Sept. 3 – 11th grade – 10am-2:00pm
Sept. 4 – 12th grade – 10am-2:00pm
On Thursday, September 3rd from 5 pm-7 pm for any parent that cannot attend their scheduled day and time.
Important: In order to check out a chrome book, a User Agreement needs to be completed and signed by the student and a parent. These will be available at checkout. We will also be checking out textbooks, handing out yearbooks, and giving small whiteboards and markers to each student.
