Congratulations On Your Retirement – Randy Crawford
Please help us celebrate and pay tribute to our retirees from the Pendleton School District.
Today, we congratulate Randy Crawford, a social studies teacher at Sunridge Middle School. Randy has worked in the district for 30 years. He will always miss the people that he worked with and depended on. Randy will miss the students most of all. Middle school students are a special type of student, bringing excitement and joy each and every day and a little frustration at times. He will also miss the many coaching opportunities he has had in the district.
Randy became a teacher because of the positive experiences as a student with teachers in his life, especially the teachers at Hawthorne Elementary School. (Mr. Holmes 6th grade, Mrs. Ramos 5th grade, and Mrs. Lemkau 4th grade). Randy credits Mr. Don Bensel, his first principal in Pilot Rock, OR, as influential in his career. Mr. Bensel was always there with advice and help in his first year of teaching. Randy learned more from Mr. Bensel in 9 months than he did in 5 years of college, preparing him for his teaching career.
Randy’s words of wisdom: “Always do what is BEST FOR KIDS!”
Thank you, Randy, for your commitment to the students of Pendleton School District. We wish you well on your next adventure.
