Noele Mead, 3rd Grade Teacher at McKay Elementary

Noele grew up in a small town on the southern Oregon Coast, Port Orford, and has lived in Pendleton for 10 years. She earned her Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University in October 2021.

Noele was a paraprofessional for 7 years in the district prior to being hired as a temporary certified teacher last year at McKay. Noele loves to spend time with friends and family and they enjoy boating, hiking and camping. She also enjoys a good run and reading.

As for working permanently at PSD, she said, “I have always felt that PSD has had the best support system. I have worked in several of the schools as a substitute, teaching assistant and classroom teacher, and have always felt like a member of a family rather than a co-worker.”
